IRCC holds fourth Express Entry draw this week

This week, Canada held an Express Entry lottery for the fourth day in a row.

Candidates were needed to have a minimum CRS score of 439, which is the lowest CRS score in 2023.

This is the sixth wave of invitations given in two weeks, bringing the total number of candidates invited through Express Entry to 9,800 over this time period.

The great majority of invites were sent out this week. The most recent round, on July 6, invited 1,500 individuals with job experience in healthcare professions. This lottery was supposed to take place following an announcement on June 27 accompanying the first-ever Express Entry invitations for 500 healthcare professionals.

The round of invitations issued on July 5 was the first for candidates in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. A total of 500 candidates were invited, with a minimum CRS score of 486.

Finally, the July 4 round of invites included an unexpected all-program draw in which 700 candidates were examined. These candidates had to have a CRS of 511, which was the highest of any all-program draw in 2023.
